Transport in Burgas: a van, movers or a delivery

Cargo van with boxes and wrapped furniture at the entrance of a block of flats

A van solves the transport, but not necessarily the carrying, the packing and the assembly. Before you look for transport and delivery in Burgas, split the job up: what has to be moved, who prepares it, who carries it out and who receives it. That is more useful than a general "I need a big vehicle".

This article is about belongings and loads. For moving people, see the separate article on taxis from Burgas Airport.

Moving house: plan both addresses

Make a list of the large furniture, the appliances and the approximate number of boxes. Add what has to be dismantled and reassembled, which items are fragile and what one person cannot carry. Send the dimensions of the bulky items.

For each address, give the floor, whether there is a lift and how big it is, and the distance from the entrance to where the vehicle can stop. Say who supplies the packaging and whether the furniture needs protecting in transit. For a move between towns, use the guide to moving in Bulgaria as well.

Movers: when the transport is already sorted

If you have your own van, say explicitly that you only need people for loading and unloading. If the belongings are moving within the same building, describe both floors and the route. The number of people is agreed from the items and the access, not just from the number of rooms.

When requesting movers in Burgas, ask whether the price is per crew, per person-hour or for the whole job. Separate any waiting time from the working time. The details of how it is worked out are in the article on what movers cost.

Furniture delivery: to the entrance or to the room

Say where the purchase is collected from, whether it is ready for collection and the size and weight of the packages. Ask what "delivery" means in the particular offer: unloading at the vehicle, to the entrance or carrying it up to the flat.

Before you confirm a time, agree the collection window with the shop or the seller. If you want unpacking and assembly, write them down separately. You may need furniture assembly, not just transport.

Removing rubbish and old belongings

Split the description by type: old furniture, appliances, packaging or leftovers from a renovation. Send photos and say whether the material is bagged, whether anything needs dismantling and who will carry it out.

For waste removal, ask the provider to confirm what they accept, where they will take it and which costs are included. Do not agree on "one trip" alone if it is not clear what is being loaded and who carries it. For items or materials subject to special rules, ask for a separate clarification before the vehicle is sent.

A van: choose by the load, not by the name of the vehicle

Give the dimensions of the longest and the bulkiest item. Say whether things can be dismantled and stacked on top of each other. Ask about the payload, the internal dimensions and how the load is secured.

Clarify whether you are hiring transport with a driver or expect loading and unloading as well. Agree the number of trips and how an extra trip is charged. If you cannot judge the volume, ask for an estimate from photos or an inspection.

Access in Burgas is part of the plan

For addresses in Meden Rudnik, Izgrev, Zornitsa or Slaveykov, do not rely on "there is a lift" alone: check that the furniture fits in the cabin and through the doors. For an address in the centre, check whether the vehicle can get close and unload. Do not promise a free space outside the entrance without checking.

For a route to Sarafovo, Kraymorie or Vetren, give both points rather than just "within Burgas". That lets the offer reflect the real route without assuming a particular surcharge for the area.

How to compare the total

Ask for the same breakdown from everyone: vehicle, people, carrying up stairs, packaging, dismantling, assembly, waiting and extra trips. Agree how the condition of the belongings is recorded and what happens in case of damage. Available reviews and examples of similar loads are more useful than a promise that "everything is included" with no details.

Example request: "From … to … Floors …, lifts … Items: …, about … boxes. We need a van/movers/dismantling. Access for unloading is … Preferred date … Please give a total price and the terms for extra work."

Once the flat is empty you can plan the cleaning. For the transport itself, post a description in the Transport and delivery category.
